CodeDraft is free, open-licensed software. These terms are plain on purpose — there's no subscription and no fine print worth hiding.

License

CodeDraft's source code is distributed under the Apache License 2.0 — see the LICENSE file for the full legal text. The compiled app you download from this site is provided to you under those same terms: you're free to use, modify, and redistribute it, provided you keep the license and copyright notices intact.

In plain terms: download it, use it, poke around the source, build your own copy — that's the whole point of an Apache-licensed project.

Acceptable use

Use CodeDraft for anything legal. A couple of things worth knowing:

CodeDraft can run scripts and open programs you point it at (the ▶ Run button, the file-open/extraction flow). You are responsible for what you choose to run — treat it the same way you'd treat opening a file in Terminal.
Don't represent an unmodified copy of CodeDraft as your own original work — the Apache License's attribution terms still apply.

Warranty & liability

CodeDraft is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, exactly as the Apache License 2.0 states. It's currently free to download and use directly from this website, with no purchase or refund process involved.

Back up anything you can't afford to lose — same advice as for any editor, including this one.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them.
