Need a hand?

Real answers to the questions people actually ask about CodeDraft — large files, fonts, drafts, and what happens to your data.

Most questions are already answered in the docs — how drafts work, ⌘K search, huge-file performance, and every keyboard shortcut.

Common questions

A file feels slow or won't open

CodeDraft is built to stay fast even on huge files (a 1 GB file opens in about 62 ms), so slowness usually means something specific tripped it up — a very unusual file shape, an odd encoding, or a real bug. Tell me the file size and type and I'll take a look.

Where are my drafts saved?

In a Drafts folder on your own Mac. Drafts are auto-saved, auto-named, and auto-tagged entirely on-device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

How do I get more fonts?

Font menu → "Download More Fonts…" fetches the ones you pick (JetBrains Mono, Fira Code, Cascadia Code, and a few others) straight from their public GitHub releases and installs them into your Mac's font library. That's the only thing CodeDraft ever downloads on its own.

Does CodeDraft send my code anywhere?

No. There's no account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no telemetry. See the Privacy Policy for the complete, honest breakdown.

I found a bug, or have an idea
